Read up, mommies. There is such a thing as etiquette that governs when you go out visiting with your baby in tow:
Ask your hostess if there is a room where you can have the privacy of breastfeeding your baby – granted that you do breastfeed. This is being considerate to other people as some may not be used to what could be a very normal task for you.
Always leave the house prepared so when the time comes that you need to change your baby, you wouldn’t have to bother your hostess for a plastic bag, or wet wipes. However, make sure that you do not bring your whole house with you. Bring the very essentials and nothing else.
Don’t be too flustered if baby suddenly becomes fussy, even after the baby is fed and changed. This might mean that the baby is just cranky. Simply excuse yourself from the crowd and try to soothe the baby in another room or outside.
