What to Buy for Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air, and you have less than two weeks to come up with a grand Valentine’s gift for your sweetheart! Any brilliant ideas? Nothing? Well if you can’t think of anything, read on to get ideas. Are flowers and chocolates too boring?
For guys: Unless your ladies really have a knack for flowers, you can be a little more creative than just buying her flowers. And besides, flowers can be really expensive.
For girls: Guys are the ones who usually give flowers. Giving them roses for a change could be romantic, sweet and very unexpected.
Lingerie–yes, or no? YES for both sexes! Having your partner try the lacy underwear you just bought could end the night perfectly.
Gift Certificates. People are becoming more practical and they appreciate the value of a GC. GCs give freedom of choice which means you have less to worry about that your gift won’t fit.
Go to a major event. Your gift can be a new experience. Why not buy two tickets to a special Valentine concert or a production you both would like to see? You don’t get to do this everyday, and you’ve just given material gifts during the holidays. It’s a date.
Look up items in pairs. A very apt V-day gift is a pair gift–one for you and one for him. Mugs, shirts, wristwatches, and pillows in Valentine theme might come in pairs. Look for them in department stores.
Go gadget. Gadgets are expensive so an MP3 player, phone, and a PDA could very well be appreciated.
Jewelry. You can almost never go wrong with jewelry. You can buy jewelry with semi-precious stones if you’re on a tight budget.
Engagement. Are you ready to take your relationship to the next level? February 14th can be Valentines Day and the day you got engaged if you have the ring and the proposal speech. The occasion is almost perfect for it.
