Do you find yourself lagging behind at work because you feel feeble? That it’s only the middle of the day yet it feels like evening because you can’t seem to get enough energy to do anything? Here are some tips to help you stay alert during the day:

Get enough sleep the night before. Rest is important. It’s our body’s time to repair itself so that it can function well when we’re awake. Set a routine bedtime so that your body can get used to having normal hours of sleep.

Get enough exercise. Exercise helps circulate blood throughout the body, making sure the cells get enough oxygen and therefore giving you enough energy throughout the day.

Speaking of oxygen, try breathing exercises when you feel sleepy. This helps circulate oxygen throughout your body.

Eating healthy also provides the body with much-needed energy. Too much sugar, caffeine, and carbohydrates can only boost your energy to a certain extent but you will feel more tired once the “rush” wears off. Drink water instead and munch on fruits and other healthy snacks during the day instead.
