Do you find yourself with nothing to do at work? Maybe it’s a slow day, or maybe you’re just too fast at finishing tasks? Here are some suggestions on how to spend your hours doing more productive activities:
Clean your desk and make it free of clutter. If there is nothing you can do, you can at least sort out the stuff on your desk and make it more conducive to working.
Be good and volunteer to help co-workers with their tasks, especially those who appear to be stressed and overwhelmed.
One task you can help do is to help with the filing. It’s usually the task that takes the bottom slot of everyone’s to-do list. You can do this and make sure that everything is up-to-date.
If there is something that you’ve been longing to do for a long time now, like a special project (as long as it is connected to work), then you can ask your supervisor or team manager if you can work on a special project during downtime.
