Many married couples who have been married for a few years plan second (or even third) honeymoons for many reasons. Others just want to revive the passion and life of being newlyweds. While some use it to relax with their respective spouses. Here are a few tips on how to plan for a romantic getaway for not-so-new married couples:
Go to a different location from the one where you went on your first honeymoon. Although it may be a good idea to reminisce, it would be better to try new things, see new places, and create new memories.
Leave the rest of your reality behind. If you have kids, leave them with capable hands and try not to worry about them all the time. You will get a call in case of an emergency so don’t sweat it if you can’t call home a million times a day. Once a day should be enough. This is also goes for your job. Leave work in the workplace, and try to enjoy as much of your holiday as possible.
Focus on each other. Say the words you don’t say often enough anymore. Be more romantic. Free yourself of the constraints of the normalcy of life you have adapted. This holiday is specially for the two of you so make the most of it.
