There are some simple home remedies for athlete’s foot. If you don’t trust over the counter medication, you can try the following:

Fill a bucket with lukewarm water. Dilute a cup of baking soda and soak your feet for at least 15 minutes. This will rid your feet of dead skin cells and it also changs th pH balance so bacteria can stop accumulating on the skin of your feet. You can also try dusting dry baking soda on your feet in the evening.

A lot of people swear on tee tree oil because of its antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It kills the fungi that cause athlete’s foot. Just massage a few drops of this oil on your feet daily, and soon your athlete’s foot will be gone.

Another good foot soak is epsom salt, which you can buy in drug stores or beauty stores. If you can’t find epsom salt, you can also try ordinary salt. Dilute a cup in a bucket or basin of warm water and soak your feet in it.
