Improving digestion can help your body keep nutrients efficiently in the body, while improving the way it filters the body of wastes.
Eat slowly. There are many tricks in making sure that you eat slower than usual. Chewing slowly is the key here. When you eat fast, you tend not to chew your food properly. Bigger chunks of food that go down will make it difficult for the stomach to digest. Try to finish your meal for at least 30 minutes. This will help prevent gas build up and indigestion. This is also a good way to lose weight.
Eat early. The heaviest meal of the day should be breakfast, wherein you need to jumpstart your metabolism from the long hours of being empty. This actually improves your metabolism and help you lose weight, but only if you follow the next considerations.
As for the rest of your meals, break them down into several but smaller portions. Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, why not have a big breakfast and then 4 smaller meals which consist mostly of fruits, vegetables, and other small meals. For example, you can have fruits as mid morning snack. Followed by a large salad for lunch. Have a corn on the cob for afternoon snack. Then have a light sandwich in the early evening.
Eating too soon before your bedtime will easily result to nighttime indigestion.
