Dust can gather on your clothes if they’re stored in the closet for a long time without being worn. Here is what you can do to make sure that dust and dirt won’t get to clothes. Make it a point to clean your closet at least once a month:

Clean the top shelves. Pull out all the items you have there and give them a good dusting. If you have sheets and other items of clothing, pull them out as well and shake them to outside to get rid of any dust that have gathered.

Take out all the accessories such as bags, shoes, and other boxes. Get a clean rag to rid the dust off the items.

If you have a smaller closet, you can use a duster to clean all the dust and dirt and hair. If you have a larger closet, you can use a vacuum cleaner.

Time to organize your clothes. Store the seasonal ones and put out the ones which are more opt for the current season. Store the others in cleaner bags or clothing bags to protect them from dust.

Rotate your wardrobe once every few often. If you do your laundry, make sure that you put them at the far side of the closet so that you can wear all the clothes in your closet.
