Mosquito bites can be annoying. If you’re hesitant to use chemical-based products to soothe the swelling and the itchiness, here are some natural remedies you can try instead:

Cover the bitten area with honey before wrapping it with cloth. It helps the skin repair quickly, it relieves the itchiness, and it also has antibacterial properties.

Baking soda mixed with water to form a paste can be placed on bites. If there are a lot of bites, you can add about a cup of baking soda to your bathwater into which you can soak.

If you’re not adverse to garlic, you can try mincing a clove of raw garlic and rub it on the mosquito bite. Not only will it soothe the bite, but it will also repel mosquitos. Some outdoors people swear on eating garlic before heading out into the “wilds” to prevent mosquito bites.

If you’re soil is clay mud, or if you have access to pottery clay, then you can do what some Native Americans do to treat mosquito bites – lather the area with clay mud (make a paste out of water and clay soil). The clay draws out the poison.
