Pampering Yourself on a Budget
You don’t need to go to the spa to pamper yourself. If you have a tight budget, you can always turn your home into your own relaxing oasis. Here is how:
If you are a bookworm and you have a free weekend, go to your local library and horde books you’ve been meaning to read for a long time. Spend your weekend holed up in your room and read to your heart’s content.
Prepare a hot bubble bath. Use your favorite scent. Dim the lights of your bathroom and light scented candles. Put on some soft music and relax.
If you’ve been busy all week and have had no time to spend on your grooming, you can spend a Saturday afternoon or early Saturday evening to deep condition your hair. While waiting for it to set, you can also do your nails while watching a DVD marathon of your favorite shows.
If you find yourself fortunate enough to have a free Sunday morning, why not wake up early and take a peaceful morning stroll. This will not only help you calm down but it’s great exercise as well. Breathe in fresh morning air. You can even bring a basket of food so you can have a picnic breakfast at a nearby park, or if you live by the ocean, on the beach.
