Follow a daily routine. This is important for children who have short attention span as this can help them discipline themselves. A routine will automatically let them transition from one activity to the other. Just try to be consistent.
Always feed your child healthy food. They need enough fuel to keep up with their energy level. But avoid giving them sugary foods and those full of additives as these will give your child unhealthy suger rushes and crashes as well. Avoid caffeine as well.
Provide children with ample time for exercise. You can add this to their daily routine. Exercise or any physical activity can help them channel their energy better. This is so much better than letting them sit in front of the television set for hours.
