Chemicals, even those that we use at home for cleaning, etc., should be disposed of properly, or else they might become health risks.

Read the labels of the bottle or containers of chemicals. They should have a section there where it says how to dispose of the product properly. Large quantities of chemicals should be done by professionals.

You can also flush the chemicals out by pouring them into your bathroom toilet. Make sure that they can be flushed. Find out from your wastewater treatment facility if the chemicals you are disposing may be release into local waterways. Make sure that you dispose of them one chemical at a time.

You can also inquire from your local government on how to dispose of chemicals. They do have collect hazardous wastes as well.
