Receipts are important to keep especially if you need them for your annual filing of tax. To help you maintain control of receipt collection, here are some tips which you can do throughout the year, and not just in April during tax month.

Place a collection envelope where your receipts can be kept. Place them in places where you can easily have access to them. For example, have one in your car, at home and in the office.

When sorting receipts, make piles. For example, receipts from the same store can all go together.

Buy see-through receipt-sized folders wherein receipts can be filed according to how they’re grouped. This will help you later on when you need to look at them one by one.

Have a go at your tax software. Look at receipts more closely and see what you can use for tax filing.
