Sending flowers to a friend or relative to offer condolences during their time of bereavement is not only a touching gesture on your part, but a tradional and polite one as well.
Find out whether your friend prefers to receive the flowers to their home or to the place where the service is being held. If it is to the home, make sure that you choose a vase or pot arrangement. For funeral services, opt for a floral wreath. You may choose flowers and colors that the deceased liked. Include a handwritten card as well.
For ease and for practical reasons, you may want to oder from a flower shop or on an online flower-derlivery website. If you are far from the grieving person’s home, you can have the flowers delivered to the appropriate address (just make sure that it’s correct). But if you plan to visit personally, it is always better to hand the flowers yourself.
