So you think filling your car with gas is just as easy as a walk in the park? Sure it is but, there are still some precautions one must need to follow in order to maximize fuel efficiency and here they are:
Find out the delivery schedule of your local gasoline station. Why? Because you wouldn’t want dirt and debrit from the stirred up fuel in the station’s underground tank in your own tank, would you now? Wait for a day after delivery before you have your tank filled to let the dirt settle.
Fill your tank when your gauge says that it’s half full. The more air in your gas tank (i.e. when it’s near empty) the more chance the gas will evaporate.
Minimize gas from vaporizing by pumping fuel in slowly. The faster the speed you allow it to pump, the more chance vapors can escape.
