Kids (and even adults alike) often spill tomate sauce or spaghetti sauce on their shirts. Don’t panic. There are easy enough ways to get rid of these stains.
Check the label of the clothing. If it’s sturdy enough for stain removal proceed to the next item. If the fabric is too delicate, seek professional help.
Use a clean damp rag to remove the excess sauce. Gently dab at the stain. You can also try scraping it off with a dull knife if the sauce has already dried on the clothing. Place the stained area under running cold water.
If there are still remnants of the stain, pre-treat it with a small amount of liquid laundry detergent. Rub it gently on the stain. You can let it sit for a few minutes to overnight, depending on how the stain has set into the fabric.
Wash your clothes as usual.
