College students who need to work while studying should find jobs that will fit just right to their skills and their class schedule.

Start looking for jobs during summer so you don’t go against the throng of students looking for work at the start of the schoolyear.

Look for jobs where they have extended hours such as supermarkets so you can work after class hours. They also have a basepay so there’s no need to worry about tips. Some groceries and supermarkets give their employee’s discounts. You can also try to work in a cafe, if you don’t have morning classes.

However, if you wish to make extra cash with tips, working in restaurants as part of the waiting staff is also a good gig.

Once you get a job, let your employers know of your availability and class schedule so that they don’t give you a schedule that coincides with your classes. Try to get a schedule where you can work in the evenings during weekdays and during the day in the weekends.
