Writing a Thank You Note
There are many situations when proper etiquette states that you need to respond to communication or gifts received by sending a thank you note.
Prepare a blank card or if you often need to write these notes, have a professional cardstock in your desk. Make sure they are clean and simple.
You will need to write these notes by hand as this will make your intention more sincere. You’d better practice your penmanship, and choose a pen that would not smudge.
Compose a short, simple, and sincere message on scratchpaper. You can use this as template, but remember to put a personal line or two for each recipient.
Address recepient according to how you know them in person. If you’re on first-name basis with them, you may use their first names.
Close with approproate closings and sign your name.
