Preventing Varicose Veins

Varicose veins can ruin any woman’s plans of donning that sexy mini skirt or that daisy shorts. Here are some tips on preventing varicose veins.

Varicose veins are formed when the vein walls are stretched to their limit inabling them to contract to their normal shape. As much as possible, avoid anything that can constrict the blood flow within your body.

Exercise regularly and maintain a well-balanced diet to avoid obesity. Obesity increases the probability of varicose beins since it can obstruct the blood flow back from the feet and legs.

Avoid prolonged standing as it also increases the risk for varicose veins. As much as possible, shoe heels should not exceed two inches.

Some studies show that avoiding constitpation can also help in preventing varicose veins as well. Eat food rich in fiber and drink at least 1.7 liters of water everyday. Also, Cut back on biscuits, cakes and other refined carbohydrates.
