I’ve been rally hyping on office suites for their use as free and quick (no set-up required) document manager and collaboration software. So far I’ve only really used Google Docs and Spreadsheets until I stumbled upon a few others that you might want to consider.
Here they are:

Google Docs and Spreadsheets
Ajax 13
ThinkFree Office Online
Zoho Office Suite

And yet another complaint against. It’s funny. I remember back in the great transition from Windows 98 to XP, there weren’t too many problems in backward compatibility. But Vista isn’t making loving it an easy thing to do.
First it was the specs. Then it was the cost. I was expecting businesses and other developers to [...]

One things that’s a bummer. Some of us keep two accounts in one e-mail provider. Like for example, some would have two or more Gmail accounts. However, more often than not, you can only open one account at a time in a browser.
One quick way around this is to have two browsers open (usually IE [...]

I’ve previously posted out a quick way to manage your web passwords for quick log-ins with AI Roboform. But if you’re just looking for a way to keep a catalog of your accounts and their respective passwords locally.
You can do so with Access Manager. You can organize your passwords by categories. You can also keep [...]

I’ve recommended Google Docs and Spreadsheets as an effective (free!) collaborative online document manager before. I personally use it for most of our collaborative work. However, the chat-style interface doesn’t quite help when you’ve got a few people working on it once.
For such work, me and my buddies have had better successes with Skype even [...]

Still got those little boxes all filled with recipes written on notecards in the kitchen? Well, here’s one tool for you to use since we’re all in the days of Web 2.0 and dual-core computing. Maybe it’s grandma’s chance to get her gravy recipe digitized for use by generations to come.
Here’s a digital recipe box [...]

At least Microsoft still gives users a bit of leeway in terms of customizing Vista to one’s own liking. Here’s a great article on how to give Vista (for all you Vista users out there) a personal touch. I know Vista’s tight security is making life a bit frustrating even for admins so take a [...]

No quick tip for today, read that: emergency! Why? Mozilla Firefox will be relaunching its add-on site by Feb. 12 and part of the launch will be the removal of thousands of add-ons from its list.
Mozilla is apparently doing this to streamline the list for new users. Let’s face it, add-ons have been the favorite [...]

I do keep a lot of accounts across the Web. And as a matter of personal security policy, I keep different passwords for each of them. So that means I have to remember each and everyone then type them in whenever I need to access an account. Quite a tedious process if you ask me.
So [...]

Hehehe. Here’s another one of those news that makes you go “What the heck?”
In an announcement made by Apple, they warned iTunes users not to upgrade to Vista just yet and stick with good old Windows XP citing some compatibility issues that still have to be tried and tested out with the new MS OS.
Apple [...]

Here’s yet another great tweak for Firefox users. It’s not a add-on. And it’s not an update either. It’s Firetune a Firefox program that gives you Firefox a tune-up.
It features a one-click tune-up process that is completely reversible. What is does is it changes the settings to what has been tried and tested to speed [...]

Google’s mail service, Gmail, has now open it’s doors to everyone. No more SMS sign-ups. No more invites. Just a sign-up form to accomplish and 2.8 GBs of mailbox space is all yours.
Your move, Yahoo!.

All the while, I’ve been blogging about Firefox 2 and haven’t really written about Firefox 3. What’s nice about Mozilla is they alway keep their development open to the public. Such is the case with their developments with Firefox 3 dubbed as “Gran Paradiso.”
As the title of this post states, they’ve made Firefox 3.0 second [...]

Microsoft has quietly released a patch to improve the IE 7’s phishing filter. Now the filter is a most welcome update from IE 6 to prevent ordinary web users from accidentally giving away their information by blocking phishing sites.
The patch was made public through the IE blog last week.
It supposedly addresses the high CPU usage [...]

Every computer owner should know what’s in their computer like the back of their own hand. But for most of us, we are a bit scared tinkering . But if you’ve ever encountered some of those snotty tech support people who would just make you feel so inadequate with talk like “Do you know what [...]
