Here are some tips on how to grow mint:

Mint can grow in any type of soil and any type of shade, but prefers
full shade and moist and mildly acidic soil. The best time to plant mint is in early spring or autumn, when the weather is a lot cooler.

Be sure to plant mint where you can give it more room to grow. If you
wish to place them with other plants or herbs, make sure they are 1-2 feet apart from each other.

Keep the plant moist. Although mint plants do not require fertilizer,
you can add compost to the soil to keep the plants lush and healthy. Cut off dead leaves and stems. Prune plants before winter sets in.

Seasoning a newly-bought wok is important to make sure that there will
be no food-build up and rust formation in the future. Here are easy
steps to season your wok:

First thing to do is scrub the wok well with warm water and a dish
scrubber. Do not use soap or any other detergent.

Rinse.

Next, turn up your stove to high heat and place your wok on top and
let it stay there until it gets black. Don’t forget to turn
ventilation on as it will certainly smoke in the kitchen.

Take the wok off the flame and let it cool completely.

Get a paper towel and soak it with corn or peanut oil. Wipe this all
over the inside of the wok, making sure that everything is coated. Let
it sit for about 5 minutes.

Turn the stove on and set it to low heat. Place the wok on the flame
and again, let it stay there for about fifteen minutes.

Let it cool and repeat the process one more time before storing the wok.

It is difficult to have kids who need to stay in bed while sick or
recovering to keep still. After they all, they are used to being
active.

You can do crafts such as making scrapbooks or making sock puppets
with your help. After making crafts, you can use the puppets for an
impromptu puppet show.

Let them listen to children’s songs and you can even sing along with them.

Read books to your children. This is a great tome to introduce them to
a variety of books. If they are used to watching television, this can
surely give them a variation to being glued to cartoons all day.

Last resort should be letting them watch more TV or play hand-held
video games. This is not quite advisable as these can cause more
excitement. But if the doctor gives a go-signal, these too wouldn’t be
a problem.

Kids can be taught responsibility through little everyday things.

Teach them responsibility by letting them have pets. You may acquire
one, or you can let them be in charge of your current one. Feeding,
cleaning, exercise, and grooming will be their sole responsibility. If
their pets misbehave, they should be the ones to teach them how to act
properly.

Give your kids a small allowance. They can decide how to spend them.
Make sure that you guide them. Don’t decide for them but ask them
questions such as, “Is it something you want, or something you need?”
If they want something, tell them to save their allowance for it.

Assign your kids several household chores. For example, washing the
dishes, taking out of the garbage, sorting clothes for laundry, or
mowing the lawn. You can make this their basis for their allowance.
Don’t forget to teach them how to do things, before you leave them to
do their work.

These are things that people should be mindful of if they want to
increase their savings:

Do not overspend. People buy things which they cannot afford to pay.
This results to being in debt. This is specially true for those who
own credit cards.

Always make a budget and stick to it. If allocate enough money for
your spendings and store the rest in your savings, then in time your
savings is sure to grow. Spending everything at one go because you
don’t have a plan will not help you at all.

Avoid falling for scams and other get-rich quick schemes. Be smarter
when you receive e-mails about promos and other stuff.

If you’re having last-minute guests, those who call an hour or less before their arrival, don’t panic. Here are some tips that can help you get out of your predicament:

Your guests won’t have to see all the rooms in your house. Focus on the places where they will stay the most – the living room, kitchen or dining room, and if they need to go, the bathroom.

Get a trash bag and shove all the clutter into it. Store it somewhere for a while. Dust the sofas and chairs and fluff the pillows. Grab your vacuum and give the carpet or the floor a quick run through.

Shove all dishes in the dishwasher and wipe the counters clean. Prepare utensils and refreshments in case your guests come from some far away place.

Clean the bathroom as quick as you can. Pull the shower curtain (they won’t look in there). Wipe counter tops with bleach wipes if you have them, or paper towel or a simple rag. Don’t forget the sink and the mirror as well. Empty the wastebasket and flush the toilet.

Close all the bedroom doors. Spray the air with something sweet-smelling, or light some scented candles.

Although there really is no rule about what kind of underwear to wear, there are more “appropriate” undergarments you should use depending on the clothes you wear.

For example, if the fabric of your outfit is very light and stretchy, or if you are wearing something tight, you might want to wear a thing or g-string so that your panty line won’t be visible.

Bikini cuts are comfortable to wear and they cover the buttocks fully. They can easily be hidden under a pair of jeans with a reasonable rise. Bikini cuts also have less tendency to ride up.

During winter, or when you are wearing clothes with thick fabrics, you may opt to wear boy shorts.

Shapers would work if you are wearing a form fitting dress and you would want to hide bulges. There are different cuts to shapers depending on the dress or clothes you will wear.

Read the rules and regulations of the forum. Make sure you know them and understand them. Moderating forums is not about you or your opinion but the forum as a whole. This will keep you from being all too lord-and-mighty. Be fair.

Get acquainted with the members of the forum. This might be impossible if there are hundreds of members, but try to know the active posters or those who lurk around.

Be active as well. Members of forums would like to know that the moderator is a human and not a robot.

Sugar is not always bad for your kids. It’s only when they have it in excess that it becomes unhealthy. Here are some tips on how to control your children’s sugar intake.

Do not store abundant amount of sweets such as candies, chocolate, and cake in the fridge and in the pantry. These should be bought only during special occassions. Buy fruits and create your own fruit bars instead for dessert.

Food has natural sugars in them. Take into consideration the total amount of sugar that is going to be used when you’re cooking.

Sugary drinks should also be prohibited. Water or juice that has no added sugar should be consumed instead.

There are many reasons why family or friends give money as gifts. But whatever those reasons are, it’s all the more important to be able to thank them back.

Get a thank-you card. This will show how much you appreciate the generous people who helped you in your time of need. A simple one would be all right, as long as it is neat and clean.

Word it like you would a short letter. Thank the person without mentioning the money. Instead, why not try saying, “Thank you for your generosity?”

End the note with a personal closing such as “Sincerely.” Sign your name and don’t forget to mail the card immediately.
