Great news for Gmail users. Gmail is now allowing bigger file attachments up to 20 MB in size. I know this has been on the news since yesterday but I just finally got it in my account.
Here’s the news bit from the Gmail’s What’s New page:
Increased attachment limit– 20 MB!
Now you can start sharing [...]

The scuttlebutt has now been confirmed, Web giant Google is acquiring Feedburner, the RSS management service that lets users keep track of RSS feed subscriptions even monetize it through ads. TechCrunch wrote the following story:
Rumors about Google acquiring RSS management company Feedburner from last week, started by ex-TechCrunch UK editor Sam Sethi, are accurate [...]

David, over at Blogging Pro, posted this interesting bit for probloggers (like myself) who need to catch up and meet that post quota. It actually features this bit from Bloggers 4 Hire and these important tips.

Yesterday, I featured this nifty tweak that makes Firefox select only the word when you double-click on it. By default, Firefox includes that little space after it.
In any case, you’ll also probably notice that the double-click selection also wouldn’t include punctuation marks. Say if you’re working with tags, double clicking [strong] would select [...]

For mouse ninjas, application developers have almost made it a standard to make use the double-click as the mouse command for selecting a word (or if you’re a keyboard ninja, it’s holding down ctl + shift + right arrow key). If you notice in Firefox, however, the default behavior is if you double-click on [...]

I’ve put this on my personal blog but I forgot to write about this here on LifeSpy. As a blogger it’s nice to know how many people are reading your blog at a given time. Sure you can keep track of your stats with Google Analytics or Blog Flux’s MapStats but these are usually [...]

Conversion to PDF is now easy with all the conversion software that we have lying around. At least we’re all free from having to avail the ever-pricey Acrobat Pro software. We’ve got web sites and freeware apps that we can use to convert PDF, a few suggestions can be found on this post.
For today’s [...]

Ever remember MC Hammer? For those who grew up in the 80s through the early 90s, you would definitely remember him. Fancy buzz cuts and baggy pants galore. And why not? He’s responsible for catchy-ass tunes and most memorably, the catch phrase, “Stop! Hammer time!”
And here’s a nostalgia trip/ prank attack for Firefox users. [...]

Designers often have a keen eye on fonts. Some can even identify the font and its details down to the name, size and style. Pretty amazing if you ask me. But how about the rest of us normal people who’d just want to know what a certain font’s name is so that we could [...]

Another web raid for another great web application yet again. Last time, I featured this online image to icon converter. A ready-made image to be converted as an icon has its advantages. For one, it produces a finer-quality output. But what if you want to design your own in a snap? Something quick and [...]

Here’s a some great news from Googlers. Some users are now apparently getting an option in Gmail to view PowerPoint attachments as slideshows online. Speculations include that this may yet to be Google’s presentation application that may be available soon.
Google has previously made available the “View as HTML” feature for Gmail attachments. And Google [...]

Ever made the wee mistake of entering search terms in the address bar instead of in the search bar? Well, if you ever did, then you may have observed that if you did, it’ll re-route the string to be searched in Google via the “I’m feeling lucky” option. This would then display that page.
But [...]

A friend of mine just hates those little beeping error notices. I don’t know about you but for some, it’s like a rusty nail on a blackboard. With Firefox, you may find one of those beeping sounds when you the Find feature doesn’t get a match for your word or phrase string. It’s accompanied [...]

I’ve been working with WordPress offline for very practical purposes. It lets me try out themes without having to consume bandwidth on my web host. I just use it whenever I’m trying out my meager skills with PHP, MySQL, and WordPress. I haven’t really thought of letting others know how I do it until [...]
