One thing I do have to concede to with regard to my favorite browser is a memory hog. Limiting Firefox’s RAM usage is one of the stopgap measures that you can do but because of some latent problems, it will still inevitable leak memory. Firefox 3 promises to leak less memory but Firefox engineers […]
A great source of overview information and a great past time to edit. But how about getting to read articles while not connected to the Internet? My style is to print pages as PDF and it works for me. But what if you don’t have a PDF printer? Here’s another way.
Thank goodness for the […]
Firefox brought us perhaps the real best thing since sliced bread - tabbed browsing. Now why the heck should you hide the precious thing? I’d have to admit that I used to think that I’d rather not browse the web at all if I have to go back to the days of IE6 and […]
And each day we get closer to the new Firefox and what we have now is Beta 1 of Firefox 3. As with any Beta, expect bugs and what not. But the beauty about fiddling around with the Beta is that you get the feel of things to come - pretty handy if you’re […]
As a researcher, listing sources for the bibliography can really be a chore especially when you have to document a whole lot of website URLs. Tabbed browsing was really heaven sent but one should still have a system to easily document these. One trick I do is to print the pages as PDF so […]

If you’re a web developer doing studies and observing page sources of websites then you know how hard it is to read through sloppy coding. While I am a stickler for organizing code with a system of indentations, I could lapse once or twice too especially if there are just too many lines to […]
It’s been a while since we’ve featured online tools here on LifeSpy. Since then, there have been a lot of cool online tools/services that can replace some of the most common freeware apps. No hassles in installation and accessible just about anywhere. So here we are, raiding the web again in the quest for […]
It’s been a while since I’ve featured one of these online services that eliminates the need for getting stand-alone software to do some menial tasks for you.
VectorMagic (yup, it’s from Stanford) an online tool that lets you convert raster images (like GIF, JPG, and PNG) files into vector graphics.
I wonder what YouTube is aiming at here. After being sued for billions and the developing its anti-piracy devices, YouTube now offers services that inspires people to just go beyond posting clips and short features. The services are now extended to multi-file uploads and files now have a 1GB cap per file.
But don’t think […]
Don’t worry, it happens even to best of us - you’re surfing and you’ve found a really good site but before you’ve hit Ctrl + D (the bookmarking shortcut), you accidentally press Ctrl + W (close tab shortcut) or some other command that closes the darned tab. Okay, so maybe it’s just me. Nah… […]
Okay, for those of you who are quite new to Firefox, one of the quickest way to access tabs is to drop the mouse and practice some keyboard ninjitsu. A combination of Ctrl + 1 to 9 allows you to access tabs with the first tab designated as 1 and the last one […]

When doing web designs, it’s quite important that you come up with studies. One way to look for new ideas is to study existing designs and observe how well it plays around with design elements. Months ago, we featured ColorJack, a nifty tool to get some really good color palettes for your design. What’s […]
Good thing I’m one of the lucky people who got to experience the new version of Gmail (so is it still in Beta?). No fancy re-skinnings here for this one but it sure gives some tweaks in the interface functionalities and speed thanks to a JavaScript rewrite on the back end of the technology.

One thing about Word is that, once you type in something that has “http://”, “www.” and a “.com” in a sequence, it automatically creates a hyperlink pointing to that specific URL. While keyboard ninjas would swear by Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V combo. There are still more ways to create hyperlinks in Microsoft Word. Here’s a nifty […]
In my quest to find my tech groove back on, I decided to tinker with Windows Vista. I automatically installed all apps that I frequently use and that actually led me to overlook Windows Mail - Vista’s default mail client. While I’d prefer using Mozilla Thunderbird this (not that I need to since I’m […]
